Almost There With The Framing

Finally it looks as though we’re almost done with the framing.  There looks to be a few odds and ends to finish on the inside, and the screened porch still needs to be framed, but you can tell that things have finally moved along.

It’s pretty crazy how the house seems to get bigger the more that it’s closed in.  When we first saw the footers I was sure that we’d made a mistake … or that the builder had.  I was wrong.  The thing is plenty big.  Our builder has told us that it will look even bigger when the drywall goes in.  I’ll tell you, it can’t happen soon enough for us.  Every day we hate this apartment more.
